Description
As a token of love to each other on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary, Rabbi Norman and Naomi Patz commissioned Norman to do a visual interpretation of three words that are engraved on their wedding bands as a commitment of their love to each other.

V'Eirastich Li L'Olam -- Hosea 2:21 -- "I will betroth you to me forever". These words are from the prayerbook and again, speak of our love and commitment to Ha-Shem.

This was the key statement they made that helped me arrive at a visual idea: "... tendrils and vines reminiscent of the shapes of the iron grillwork on the windows of old Jerusalem houses. Our love for one another and our love for Israel will thus be intertwined."
