The Kahani Tayelet Ketuba
Date 3 Nisan 5771
Description
This particular year seemed to have a run on trees as the main visual element for ketubot ordered through the artist and this couple met on the Haas Promenade, got engaged on this promenade and their wedding overlooked the promenade and wanted a tree as the central theme overlooking the vista from this famous Jerusalem panoramic site.

The City of David (Silwan) can be seen beneath the ramparts of Jerusalem and, in the background, the spires and trees of Mount Scopus.
Extracts from the Songs of Solomon form the ring of this ketuba and, in the foreground the vegetation abounds with Kalaniyot (poppies) introducing springtime.

Norman had the ketuba professionally scanned, unusually, after the ceremony at which he took a major part and the signatures of the witnesses and the Rabbi can easily be seen in this detail.
