Who Is Norman?
Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, Norman spent one year in Israel in 1967 immediately following the Six-Day War.

Click on this logo to take you to the special pages of memories of his introductory year in Israel in which he participated in the Institute of Youth Leaders from Abroad, sponsored by the Noar and He-Halutz department of the Jewish Agency from July 1967 to July of 1968 .

Norman returned after this year only to immigrate back to Israel in the winter of 1970 and entered into what was then known as the Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts in Jerusalem. He studied Graphic Arts from 1970 through 1974-75 specializing in typography, and it is this field in which he excelled and gave him his love for calligraphy. And it was this love that began as his journey through the decorative arts and discovery.
Norman lives and works in Jerusalem with his wife and two beautiful children.
